635,000 Cribs Recalled

Very scary recall! Over 600,000 Dorel Cribs have been recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission due to a suffocation hazard after a 6 month old baby from Iowa tragically died.

Over 20 models of Dorel Asia cribs have been recalled with BOTH drop sides and fixed front rails. Take a look at the pictures and model numbers. Over 635,000 of these cribs have been sold by Kmart, Sears, Wal-Mart and other stores between January 2005 and December 2009 for between $120 - $700. Many of these are gorgeous cribs that I would never have suspected to be involved in this type of recall.

You can view the entire Dorel Crib recall specifics from the Consumer Product Safety Commission here. Crib Pictures and info

Crazy thing is that we had the crib that is pictured above. We threw it away before the move though cause it was falling apart. I could have had a brand new crib! Darn it and Thank Heavens none of my babies died sleeping in that death trap! Please take a look and make sure your baby is safe!
